Diego is the certified therapy dog who roams the office in search of people he can help. He loves patients with bands, and kids. He is gentle and is one of the dedicated staff members to help our patients get to their goal. "One of the keys to success with the band is to replace some television time with walking," Diego has been heard to say, "If you have a pet, get a band and take the dog for a walk -- you will both enjoy it." |

Today we have started the new LAP-BAND fellowship program to teach new surgeons how to perform the LAP BAND operation. We congratulate Dr. Gowen Nirmal -- of TrueResults, who Dr. Simpson proctored (taught) how to place the band (completed in August 2006) . We wish American Institute of Gastric Banding (a firm out of Texas that markets heavily to do the band) and Dr. Nirmal well on their new venture in Phoenix. |
