When it comes to weight loss – sometimes we all just need to do it. While I have heard all the excuses imaginable for gaining weight, I have to confess: I just did it myself. I gained weight, and now it’s time to lose it.

“But you’re a weight loss doctor.  What’s your excuse Dr. Simpson?” Exactly. What’s my excuse? I don’t have one. What happened? Well, my wife became pregnant.  Initially we had a commuter relationship.  She was in Tampa, and I was in Phoenix.  In March, her contract was up, and so on to Phoenix she came.

Every night there was ice cream.  After all, her pregnancy demanded that she eat well—and so she (we) did.

Some of my patients have a Lap-Band- so you might think they might have an advantage over me, but never one to be phased, I don’t think so.  I’m going to show you how a middle age man can lose that extra weight – with no real exercise beyond walking the dog, and with no sacrifice on my part.

Think you can beat me? I’ll even make it easy for you. I’m going to show you what I am eating, and I’ll provide you with a weekly menu plan. I’m even going to share some cooking tips. I’m going to disclose when and where I eat out, and the food I order. There won’t be any secrets on this blog, and no secrets when it comes to my weight loss goal or my weight loss progress.

Think you can do it? Are you with me?
